Reading to keep from crying...
So lately I have found myself reading like I use to back in high school and the beginning of college. As you can imagine with all the free time on my hands, I have to find a way to stop going to mush. A great book I just finished reading was the Genius in all of Us by David Shenk. Spoiled
So today I am spoiling myself silly! Got a Brazilian Blowout and now I am getting a mani pedi at Dashing Diva - an early dinner, shower and PJs will make a wonderful day even better. Its nice to treat yourself once in a while and remembering that life should be enjoyed sometimes! Things are not perfect but sometime being OK is good enough to be really satisfying!!
Forgiving myself
Today I will spend it forgiving myself for all my mistakes and lapse in judgments. The only way to move forward is to leave it all in the past and work towards a better future! Try it :)

Family is better...
Good news to report - my family is doing better and we are stronger for having gone thru this. Its not over, not for a long shot, but now we know we can face anything that comes our way. I learned to listen more and be more assertive - because no one puts baby in a corner!

Sucky Week
It has been a pretty sucky week for me. My family situation may be improving for a bit but it is not completely fixed. Having been home all week with a bad cold and gross cough - I entertain myself with fun tweets and medicine.

Remembering 9/11
The best way to remember this anniversary is by knowing that those we have loved and lost are never gone and we will see each other soon. Personally, I do not watch any TV and choose to reflex quietly. Peace and Love ALWAYS
FNO - better in '09 than '10
Went to fashions night out in NYC and I expected something similar to last year. Of course I love to shop and love fashion, but enjoyed the intimate setting of last year. This year was so chaotic and the fashion posers were out in style that it lost some of its whimsy. Let me know what you think. ASK ME ANYTHING!

Was walking yesterday and saw a toddler with one of those teddy bear leashes for babies. The teddy bear was a monkey and the baby was eating a banana.

Murphy's Law?
So for the past few days my family has been going thru a really rough patch - it has been pretty bad but we are staying strong. Since this mess occurred nothing has gone right for us - I got a plantar fisitics (sic) where a tendon in my foot is swollen and every step I take hurts; I have to have a shot every few foot right on the tendon and I have to wear a Night Splint when I sleep.
