Tourists in NYC
Being born and raised in NYC has a lot of perks - not only am I super cool (being born in the capital of the world will do that to you!), but I am also super charming. But please, don’t take my word for it - ask tese two tourists from Alabama I met this week. They walked into a cafe and were so confused, that I just had to help them. They were too adorable and kept on asking how I could...

Music - Songs I love and you should too
I have been listening to some fantastic music and wanted to share it with the world because, yes, my taste in music is that good (LOL!) I love all types of music but my top 20 songs that I cannot get out of my mind - in no particular order… Interpol - The self titled album is pretty good but I love Success, Barricade, Try it On and of course the Undoing because the hook is in Spanish Nick...

Rudeness is contagious and I think I am catching...
So the past few days have been interesting.  I have learned that people can sometimes be so rude but expect you to be nice to them.  It is ridiculous to me that people who do not act like they have any sense want others to be logical.  This is what I think – if you treat me like a dog, I will bark and bit you and expect a biscuit in return aiiiight!  I am calling people to action to examine their...

Dreams and Mosquitos
I woke up at 5am in a cold sweat this morning because I had a dream that one of my friends had killed herself at JFK airport.  It was so strange - her body was in a coffin and she was on the luggage carousel and went down the escalator.  For whatever reason she was dressed like a she was part of a ’50s quartet.  I just remember talking to her family saying that I thought she was okay.  As it...

Waiting
It seems that lately, I have been doing a great deal of waiting.  Either waiting for the train, my sisters to make up their minds, my brothers to grow up and waiting for the wrinkles of life to get ironed out.  While learning to be patient is a virtue, I can honestly say I do not have it.  I am extremely impatient and wanted to just rush through things so they can be over.  Often times its like I...

Business: Foreclosures →
I am very upset about the foreclosure situation because the banks that we own are not soing their jobs.  As an auditor, I am sicken by the lack of accountability in the banking system.  I enjoyed reading the article and hope that you enjoy it too.

Friendship and what I have learned...
The last 6 years of my life have proven to be a handful where friendships are concerned.  As I have been through all of my ups and downs, I have learned who matters in my life; I can honestly say that I have the most wonderful friends.  Though I do not have many friends (I can count my true friends on one hand), I have learned to value them because they do what others don’t.  They provide me...

eat your chow.: Sanctuary T, SoHo →
eatyourchow: Hugs and Kisses green tea (served with rock candy stir stick), hamburger, smoked turkey club with raspberry jam on whole grain bread. Sometimes you just need a healthy meal, but not necessarily one that tastes like it. Sanctuary T is the perfect place for that. The menu is chock… Love Santuary T - I use to go there all the time and they have the best hot chocolate - pb...

Brazilian Blowout - My experience
Last week I got the Brazilian Blowout in Brooklyn NY at Bodhi from Jean Marc.  I had super thick hair and needed 3x as much product - I am not surprised as I would need two jars of hair relaxers.  I loved the the results!  The process was as followed: They had to shampoo my hair three times to get all the residue out They applied the solution and needed three refills because my hair just soaked...
